It looks like the active weather pattern setting up for spring 2014 is in place this week. Already having reported a couple of tornadoes this past week, the Day 3 and Day 4 outlook are showing Severe Weather possible over tornado alley through parts of the southern plains to Ozarks to mid-Mississippi Valley.
While it is too early to be certain, there is a bet that some storm chasers will venture out into Oklahoma, southwestern and southern Missouri - and possibly into Arkansas and Illinois if conditions exist for favorable development of large scale thunderstorms.
Just so you don't think I skipped it altogether - the Day 2 outlook also shows a possibility in TX/OK and KS/MO - relatively small areas compared to the Day 3 & Day 4 outlook areas. Yeah - the chasers will be taking their readings and watching conditions plenty over the next several days to weeks.
